Carnivorous Plants: Blooming Beauties

The North Carolina Entomological Society had the brilliant idea of hosting a nature walk outside Wilmington, North Carolina to see carnivorous plants in bloom in mid-May. The company was lovely and the plants even lovelier. All photographs from Mothers Day 2018.

All of these plants are found in the gorgeous longleaf pine savannas of coastal North Carolina, which were silent but for a rustle of pine needles high up.
